In addition to competitive ballroom, Designs to Shine has provided stunning costumes for hit television programs such as Dancing With the Stars and So You Think You Can Dance.
New Century Dance Company, winner of the 2007 Spotlight Awards Entertainer of the year, showcased a variety of Designs to Shine costumes for the launch of Pasionatta.
Due to popularity of Dancing With The Stars, Maria has received a great amount of attention in publications such as Sports Illustrated, Star, In Touch, Inside TV, E-News Daily among others.
Recently, Maria has worked on a variety of other projects including the Discovery Channel’s special Ballroom Boot Camp, and Skating With Celebrities.
Being chosen to design for Skating with Celebrities was our first foray into the exciting world of professional ice skating and has lead Designs to Shine to working closely with skating legend Nancy Kerrigan.
The custom green costume created for Nancy to wear for Kristi Yamaguchi Friends & Family was inspired not only by the music, but by our desire to introduce classic designs with a contemporary unexpected twist.
